Merry Christmas, chilluns! I hope you are all having a grand time celebrating con sus familias!
Amy's hooooooooooooooooome!!! Yay, I'm way excited. I have lost 2" from my waistline and can tell that I have more energy to run around since Amy's been back in the same time zone, at least. I'm very excited to see you again!! Next week, next week!
I decided yesterday that I am the Pie Queen. Specifically, the Queen of Apple Pie. But less is more. Anyway, I bake a pie yesterday for Christmas Eve dinner but that's all gone now and I'm making another one now. I think I'm getting close to perecting my apple pie recipe, which'll be grand for when you, me and Jessie open that coffee-pastry-knitting-craft cafe place we dream about sometimes. Hooray.
PS I saw Dominic on Saturday! :) He was in town (read: an hour away) and I drove out to see him for the afternoon. We went out to lunch, and then I met his dad, his dad's wife, his cousin and her husband, and all six of us went to meet up with another cousin, her husband and their fresh new baby for bowling. He invited me to stay for dinner at his grandparents' house and the four of us play euchre after dinner. It was all very nice, albeit kind of funney/strange when his various family members said things like, "Hope we'll see you again soon!" Ha, I hope so too.
Also, I've been working full time at the Bou Solon which is in fact the busiest Bou in the Midwest region and I am way tired from all the coffeeness. It's amazing how quickly my bad habits come back to me in that kind of setting. AKA all the bad drink making habits Kevin has. Well, I'd never put eight pumps of chocolate in any size mocha but I did pour a cappuccino the other day scooping froth and pouring milk at the same time. Bad Stephanie! The other way takes too much time, though! The best part about working while being at home is that since Tuesday (through yesterday) I've made over $70 in tips. Of course, it does help that it was all pre-Christmas and people were tipping 5s and 20s. I miss our Bou, though. It's clean and it has Tom and you guys and space to move around. Solon Bou is the smallest bou of all the bous, probably. At least of all that I've ever been to. Not counting kiosks.
OK, back to Christmasing!
HELLO BOU BUDDIES!
wow so it has been like a bagillion years since I have heard from my friends over seas so I decided you might check this.... So tomorrow is my last day at Caribou again, sigh so sad, but I wanted to relate a bum story to you guys because you probably feel left out and what better than a bum story. SOOO here it goes...
TIME: 10:15 pm
LOCATION: THE BOU
Brent M. gets a frantic phone call from Sam because there is a bum who will not come out of the bathroom. We happen to pull up to the bou a few seconds before so I Brent and Steph walk to to the bou ready to kick some bum ass. Brent and I go to the mens room and knock and we hear some cussing and then emerges the bum.
US: Hey umm bum you gotta go
BUM: Oh yah I'll be out in a few
We leave to call security because he is dying his hair (i think).
Bum begins to yell as he closes the door.
(The nerve of some fucking people!)
Brent and I exchange looks.
The security comes, but as usual he looks 12 and very similar to the michelin man. I bang on the door again and the bum sticks his head out.
Me: yah you need to get the hell out.
Bum: damn man you fucking people.
Security Guard: uh uh
Well yah thats about all the transpired the other night. I guess the moral of the story is dont let a bum into the bathroom espescially if they have a 6 pack of beer in their hand when they ask for the key. But it was a new girl that gave him the key, but def a rookie mistake.
ok im outtie

Amy, come home!
This guitar class I'm taking this quarter is a lot of fun. I really like playing guitar and I don't really mind that I have to keep my nails short all the time. It's just so relaxing to come home and chill out and play guitar and sing for a little while. Good times. I mean, I'm not really very good at it at all, but I still enjoy playing a lot anddddd maybe I'll play a song for you, Amy, when you get back.
Oh, we also Christmased the bou this week. Everything looks so pretty and the packaging is really great. I was stocking the cocoa for the Provisions rack and thought to myself "this is so pretty, I want to buy it!" And then I realized what I just thought and I was impressed by our product design. It's great.
Amy, what's a song I should try to learn on guitar? I usu just play chord, I'm not much into picking yet.
I'm going to bake a pie on Sunday, I think. I'll take pictures for you to see, since you can't enjoy a slice. (I'm going to bake cheese into the crust!)
The other night I dreamt that Amy came back to Columbus to visit for a weekend, during her study abroad.
Good times ensued.
Except Brent. Brent is a nice boy and a great friend. He'll always walk me home if I need it and lets me bug him into posting on Amy's blog and sends Elizabeth letters with only one word in them.
And Jessie's not a boy, and I think she's absolutely swell! I don't get to see her a lot, and it's sad. But she has the best laugh in the whole world, and not just because it's hilarious. It makes me feel even more happy about what made me laugh in the first place. Also, Jessie is great fun to shop, dream about road trips and talk about eating hamburgers with. I miss Jessie!!
Speaking of missing people, AMYYYYYYYYYYY I MISS YOUUUUUUUU. I still don't think I can ever really thank you for all the help you gave me at the end of the summer. I really loved living with you. While almost dying sucked a lot, probably my favorite part of the summer happened after (and as a result of) my accident. And most of that incorporates living in your living room. Dwelling on this makes me sad, because I miss you a TON.
Actually there are a good number of people that fall into the "I Miss You So Much It Hurts" category:
(in no particular order)
-Amy
-Elizabeth
-Sara (my sister)
-Tara (my best friend since age 5)
-Pri (my other best friend since age 6)
-Dominic (but only sometimes and it's the heartachey/"what if" kind of hurt, not the same)
..... Man! If I could draw a picture of this post, it would have a picture of me spilling my emotions all over it. Sorry, guys. Maybe my period's coming soon. Ha. I'm not hormonal, actually. Just being gushy. Sorry to offend!
In other news, I love playing guitar. I still don't know very much about playing guitar, but just playing makes me feel very happy. Also falling under this category, knitting.
AMY COME HOME (Columbus).
It's Octoooooooober and it's 90 degreeees. I hate it.
Also, I hate school. I just have 0 motivation. It's terrible, really.
Additionally, I de-aged to 20 again. (I hate Skye bar)
I'm sorry this is a sub-par update. I'll do better next time, promise.
Hey Amy DelaHANTY, this is Brent! I'm here just watching some tv and thought I might finally post a message on your blog. How are you doing? How is Korea? Love it? Hate it? Learning some Korean? Everyone here is doing just fine and classes are mediocre. I've heard that Tiz is doing great in Kenya and having a grand ol time. I have yet to send her a letter, its on my to-do list. Anyways the BOU is holding up. We are actually somewhat busy now. Surprise Surprise! Maybe, maybe we wont be closing down soon. South Campus is pretty hoppin. Pitaya (which is not a pita store) just opened a couple of weeks ago and the new AVEDA just put up their signs. I can't wait until you and Tiz come back to Caribou cuz I don't know how long I can stand these 'new' guys. Actually most of them are alright, but I prefer the more seasoned veterans. Anyways I promise I'll post again later.

PS. STEPHANIE, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Amy. Princess Amy was the daughter of King Mika, ruler of
the great Emo Kingdom. The Emo Kingdom was a beautiful land, but no one really noticed the treasures the rich land had to offer because it freaking rained all the time. While Princess Amy liked the rain, she def lost her patience dealing with rain every freaking day. She lamented, "If only there was a land out there that was rainy.. but not too rainy. That would be my ideal place to live." So she left Emo Kingdom and went to Korea, following her instinct.Upon arriving in Korea, Princess Amy at first thought her Google Maps had led her astray of her original destination and instead had led her to the Evil Land of Everyone's In a Couple and Look Like Carbon Copies of Each Other (ELEICLLCCEO). Still, Princess Amy would not be deterred. She set off down the streets of (what she perceived to be) ELEICLLCCEO, and stopped in at the first BBQ to grab a lunch and ask for the correct directions to Korea.
While she was eating her meal, a strange man sat down next to Princess Amy and started talking to her. He said "My name is Ajussi, and I'm here to make all your dreams come true." Correctly sensing that this Ajussi was up to no good, Princess Amy turned around to leave. But as she did so, she was struck blind and deaf by the sudden flashing of one million cell phone cameras, which all chimed in unision: "OKAY!" "CLICK!" "DING!" " BEEP" "CHIME!"
